Nuevo diseño, nueva forma de construcción
Se ha mejorado el diseño tanto la MacBook Pro como la MacBook, empezando por la forma en que se construye. Al igual que la MacBook Air, estas se hacen a partir de una sola parte de aluminio que es moldeada a partir de una sola pieza de metal hasta llegar a la forma de la carcasa. La pantalla ahora tiene un borde negro (muy inspirado en el iPhone), las teclas son, también de color negro y un poco más delgadas (0,95 pulgadas).
Parte del nuevo diseño es la inclusión de un nuevo trackpad de cristal que no tiene botones. Todo el area también permite hacer clic y puedes configurar por medio de software qué quieres que pase dependiendo de la zona donde haces el clic. También puedes hacer gestos con hasta cuatro dedos.Ya no hay partes físicas que mantienen la portátil cerrada en el caso de la MacBook Pro, desde ahora funciona igual que la MacBook y la MacBook Air.
De lo más interesante es que por primera vez la MacBook y la MacBook Pro comparten diseño, simplemente una es más pequeña que la otra, pero los demás aspectos son sumamente parecidos.Apple usa ahora un chipset de NVIDIA bastante impresionante, en el caso de las MacBook Pro se incluyen dos chips gráficos para las tareas normales y del día a día se usa la GeForce 9400M. Cuando se necesita más poder gráfico entra la NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT a trabajar.
Las MacBook y MacBook Air dejan de usar video con memoria compartida de Intel y pasan a usar, también, el chipset de NVIDIA, lo cual permite hacer muchas más cosas y tener un desempeño muchísimo más óptimo en estos dos modelos.
Evitando el exceso y enfocándose en lo que importa
Uno de los motivos más importantes por los que he usado durante tantos años portátiles de Apple es que evitan a toda costa el exceso, son siempre más simples que la competencia. No hay Blu-Ray. no hay lectores de huellas dactilares, no hay lector de tarjetas de memoria externas, de hecho han quitado el puerto FireWire 400 y dejan apenas el FireWire 800 porque aparentemente nadie lo usa, aún cuando ellos son los impulsores de la tecnología.
100% Minimalista y el enfoque ahora ha sido en puntos claves que hacen mejor el uso de las portátiles: mucho mejores gráficas (que suele ser la queja habitual con este tipo de equipos), una construcción más durable (lo cual se agradece mucho porque la construcción de las antiguas no era la mejor) y más rápidas.Precios y detalles
